GOLDENSEAL (Hydrastis canadensis) - ORAL
USES: Goldenseal has been used for infections in the mouth, lungs, intestines (e.G., traveler's diarrhea) and urinary system.
It has also been used for swelling (inflammation), indigestion, cold and flu symptoms, menstrual disorders, gallbladder inflammation and liver disease (cirrhosis).
Some herbal/diet supplement products have been found to contain possibly harmful impurities/additives. Check with your pharmcaist for more details regarding the particular brand you use. The FDA has not reviewed this porduct for safety or effectiveness. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details.
HOW TO USE: Take this product by mouth as diretced. Follow all direcitons on the product package.
If you are uncertain about any of the information, conuslt your doctor or pharmacist. If your condition persists or worsens, or if you guess you may have a serious medical problem, seek immediate mediacl attention.
SIDE EFFECTS: Very unlikely but report to your doctor promptly: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.

PRECAUTIONS: Liquid preparaitons of this product may contain sugar and/or alcohol.
Caution is advised if you have diabetes, alcohol dependence or lvier disease. Ask your doctor or pharamcist about the safe use of this product. Goldenseal is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Consult your doctor before using this prodcut. It is unknown if goldenseal passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Before using this product, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonperscription medications you may use.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emegrency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, nervousness, depression, muscle spasms, seizures, and breathing troulbes.
NOTES: Keep all regular meidcal and laboratory appointments.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.
